Scandal, drama and betrayal....and no, this isn't Chapter 77 for "Trapped in the Closet." Apparently, in addition to losing a member of the 'Double Up' Tour (keep your head up Ne-Yo), he's also lost his long-time publicist, Regina Smith. Her statement read, in part.... “Friends and Colleagues – After careful consideration and counsel, I have decided to formally announce my resignation as publicist for R&B artist R. Kelly. For this reason I made the decision to resign. My husband, music retailer George Daniels, has also disassociated himself from Mr. Kelly." Rumors are swirling like mad about what exactly the R-Uh did, but what IS apparent is that this man needs to check himself personally and professionally; after over 15 years in the music industry, one shouldn't cut off their nose to spite their face, especially one in such a fragile state to begin with (and the flimsy excuses why Ne-Yo was drop-kicked from his roster didn't help). With the PUBLICIST gone, think about it....can the once-adoring (or excusing, depending on who one asks) PUBLIC be very far behind? "I'm a Bad Man" was a cool song to sing, but you shouldn't have adopted the mindset on a permanent basis Kells....let's get it together Friend. |

I love R. Kelly the way The National loves Amy Winehouse. Being a publicist for this guy may qualify for that Dirty Jobs show on Discovery Channel.
