Longtime reader first time Blogger !!! Really, what about the local rock en espanol scene ? No more alebrije, Oranda went to Miami for her solo career... Remoto wins the battle of the bands then disbands.... the original barroco is burnt down.... then Jarro Kafe, ultimo minuto pops up with the bolivian lead singer from remoto, hmmmmm....... small venue but jarro kafe is the only place for local rock en espanol???? Is there another place??? I am not just into rock but also now i am so loving bachata music, you know the folk music from the dominican republic???? ok maybe you do not.. it is great stuff, what ever happened to the Dallas Salsa Congress??? started big but not so much now, even the salsa clubs are dying out, did you see brothers Hector and Alfredo sold Babalu beginning of the year, WOW after what 13 years or so..... There needs to be a latin pop music promoter in this town, I guess El Gringolatino may have to step in and keep the scene going huh ????
