Snoop Dogg joins Unity Tour

First E!'s "Father Hood" and now this: According to a press release, Snoop Dogg will join eclectic band 311 for its Unity Tour 2008. The summer tour begins June 24 in Phoenix and ends with two dates in Austin, Aug. 2-3. Of course, the party (because with Snoop along, what else could it be called?) will be coming through Dallas on July 31 at Superpages.com Center, formerly Smirnoff. An interesting side note: Snoop will be joining 311 on 28 of the tour's 29 dates, missing only Summerfest in Milwaukee. (I wonder what Milwaukee ever did to Snoop?)

According to tour public relations representatives, the ticket pre-sale begins April 28 for the Dallas date; tickets go on sale to the general public on May 3.
