Bill Cosby's CD: A return to positive hip-hop

Can't find album art online, so you get this retro Cosby ad instead.

Alicia Keys and Bill Cosby stand on opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to placing blame on rap matters, to say the least. Cosby's turning his perspective into the form of an hip-hop album, Cosby Narratives Vol. 1: State of Emergency, to be released in May (guest rappers, not Cosby, will perform on the album). Along with a lot of other folks, I've been devastated at the turn hip-hop has taken over the years. Now it's, like Cosby says, "profanity for no particular reason, misogyny for no particular reason." I admit, I'm curious about what consumer response will be and if the disc will have an effect of any kind. At all.

Will you be checking out the album, or are you over Cosby and his message?

Bruce Springsteen: Houston versus Dallas shows

Dallas Springsteen fans got a guest appearance by Jon Bon Jovi on Sunday night, but Houston fans got a better deal Monday: Separate guest turns by Joe Ely and Alejandro Escovedo, who shares a manager with da Boss.
In other Springsteen odds and ends, Dave in Irving writes to say "Perhaps the Boss thinks he really is 'Bruce Almighty.' Why else would his advertised 7:30PM show not begin until 8:25, without a single announcement advising the thousands of fans who did show up on time either why they were being kept waiting?"
I'd agree: Performers should start closer to the announced showtime (it would make my job a lot easier). But alas, that's rarely how rock concerts work.
Springsteen typically sets a show time at 7:30 and then starts closer to 8 or 8:15.. That way everyone's in their seats when the show starts, as opposed to trapped in traffic, etc.
