Stevie Ray Vaughan Boulevard makes me smile, but the whole re-naming thing makes me frown. Industrial Boulevard was named such because it was, oh I don't know, INDUSTRIAL. It is what it is, and that includes its history, function, milieu, residents, warts and all. The only name that makes sense to me is Post Industrial. It's a new name, is accurate and looks forward.
If they name ANY street that goes through that area Stanley Marcus Boulevard, I'll die from an overdose of irony.
