I didn't go to edgefest, but I sure heard it down the street from Pizza Hut park where I live. I love concerts and would have liked to see Chevelle, but the roaring (and BORING) din of 3 doors down and Seether sounded annoyingly...three doors down!

This was ridicously loud - and I live 2 miles from Pizza Hut Park. We don't want Edgefest any longer in Frisco. Starting at 10:00 a.m. and going to until 11:00 p.m. is way too long.

I'd like to say that it started at 11am not 10am for one. Also the video I have of Filter tends to show people moving, jumping, crowd surfing, ect. Next I'll add that if I'm not mistaken The Song Puddle of Mudd did with Shaun was actually Breed. At least that is what Wesley from Puddle of Mudd said in the microphone, again video rocks.
It appears that the comment board and the Dallas Morning News are Mistaken.

I thought edgefest was great! I love My Chemical Romance and Seether and thought the line up was great. Just to point out... My Chem played in the same spot they played in last year. They didn't move up ... or down, like the news story implied. Edgefest was great and dispite popular bliefe I still got great bruses form the pit! Can't wait till next year!

The lineup wasn't nearly as good as last year's Edgefest, but acceptable. Puddle of Mudd were great, as usual. Seether did a better job this concert than last December, and Blue October gave enough angst off for any emo, and My Chemical Romance was amazing. We left before 3 Doors Down came on. There were quite a few more older people in the audience than last year (older meaning more gray hair). I'm 52 so I really noticed the age groups represented.

I was one of many returning to edgefest. This is my third year and proud of it. Yes the main stage line-up was not that good. I had pit tickets and only saw miser and chevelle down there.
The greatest acts were on stage 2&3. Red started this trend off strong.
Atreyu was by far the best band and atmosphere. For anyone who missed this let me explain, this includes Christy Robinson who didn't mention a word of them in her review. It started off with a huge crowd, and right from the start about 100 of us in the front fell down because there was so many bodies pushing onto another. With mosh pits happening nonstop this was the one band you had to be up on the front row for. I ended up 10ft from the stage about 4 people back from the rail where security was, with a girl that i had just met on my shoulders. After this Fair to midland and Story of The Year did well to follow this hyped-up act.

I went with my 13 year old, we were able to get to the front. We had the time of our life. MCR was the best, also Chevelle, blue October, puddle of mudd all the bands were great.Music was great for young and not so young. We left @ 10pm after MCR, we didnt run into any traffic.

I had a great time, once we actually got inside the wind wasnt cutting through you anymore and my only problem was where to put the jacket that i'd rummaged desperately for an hour earlier.

Did the person who wrote the Edgefest review go to the same concert that I did? Yes, the weather was on the nippy side . . . which was just right for an outdoor concert. The crowd in the pit around us was crazy and it was an absolute BLAST! (At Pizza Hut Park, sitting in the stands in a seat is NOT the place where you want to be for Edgefest.) We did leave before the last band played, but only because we were so hot and exhausted from having such an amazingly great time.
P.S. If having "top 10-level modern pop rock" (see FWST music critic's review, April 28, 2008) means having bands that aren't just a flash-in-the-pan one-hit wonder, bring it on.

First of all, the statement "cold beer and other libations sold SLOWLY" is objectionable. The author of this story must not have stayed very long. By mid-day, it seemed almost everyone had a beer, as if it were free.
The show was quite entertaining for me to watch people, since I'm not really into the craziness of these types of concerts. I came with a group of people and really was most interested in seeing MCR, who did not disappoint me at all. I want to see them again.
To those who are complaining (whining) about how LOUD it was for you. SO SORRY to inconvenience you for ONE day! If you didn't want to put up with huge events and all that goes with it, you shouldn't have moved to the area or fought Pizza Hut Park's plan to be built. Otherwise, try to be patient for ONE day (unless you work nights and sleep days, it may be an issue). There's plenty of things to do instead of sitting at home pouting about how you're being oppressed by noise.
Anyway, yeah, it was a great time.

Hey all you Great Kenny Chesney fans. Looking for alittle love/help. My Husband and I with three friends were sitting in section 102 this past weekend - one of the friends was wearing one of my Husbands cowboy hats. A chick sitting two rows above us took it off his head and then headed to the VIP lounge w/ it where, we think, gave it away. We didn't have access to the VIP lounge. My Husband would REALLY like this cowboy hat back - it;s unusual - has the top cut out if... you can't miss it. And it has a lot of sentimental value to him. If you know anything - please respond to this blog.
