Uh oh ... New Kids on the Block hangin' tough again

Back-in-the-day NKOTB. Clockwise: Donnie, Danny, Jonathan, Joey and Jordan

Your biggest dream/worst nightmare is coming true, depending on your early '90s music taste. New Kids on the Block are [dramatic pause] .... reuniting. They are actually going to make new music. But NKOTB fans needn't worry. While they won't be rocking the rayon shirts and ocean-wave hair this time, they'll definitely perform the old songs, too, says Donnie. Read more about it here.

So tell us ... does the reunion excite or disturb you? Do you plan to download/buy the CD when it comes out? Fess up — who was your favorite? I'll go first: Donnie.

I'm more disturbed by the "almost 40" part of the reunion.

Joey Mc and his Irish, Catholic, Sinatra-loving self!

This is so cool. I am giddy with excitement. Giddy! I'll get the CD. I'll go to the concert. I am all in.
Oh yeah: Joey all the way.

Forever and always, it's Joey. NKOTB ... such memories.

This is simultaneously scary and predictable. Why shouldn't they come back? We have thrown talent out the window as a criteria for musical success.

From Chile. They are my guilty pleasure since 1986. I must say I have all the CD's of NKOTB.
Guilty as charge!!!.

EVERY TIME THEY CAME TO PITTSBURGH I WAS THERE AND INTEND TO GO IF THEY BRING THEIR TOUR TO PITTSBURGH ! DONNIE HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY FAVORITE AND I AM TIRED OF PEOPLE TREATING THEM LIKE THEY HAD NO TALENT. I MEAN WITHOUT THEM, WHERE WOULD THE BOY BANDS OF TODAY BE???

Joey was my professed fave, but I secretly lusted after Donnie, mostly because my dad thought he was a punk. ;-)

I've kept up with Jordan and Joe's solo careers, seen their shows and met them both. And of course I've seen Donnie's films. It will be nice to see them all together again, but this time I won't have to beg my mom for money or permission!
