Crue Fest '08 will hit Dallas on July 24 at Superpages.com Center. If you can't wait until Saturday at 10 a.m. to get your tickets to Crue Fest, you can go to www.TheRockvine.com. Tickets are $25-$95 and available at Ticketmaster starting Saturday. But that's not all ... right on the heels of the Crue is the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival on July 25 and also at Superpages.com Center. That fest includes Slipknot, Disturbed, Dragonforce, Mastodon and others. Motley Crue announced their fest on April 15 with a press conference and live performance of the title single from their upcoming CD, Saints of Los Angeles. It's the first studio CD in over a decade featuring all four original band members. You can listen to the single here. Not one to sit on any marketing opportunity, there will be a special Crue Fest CD, featuring tracks from all of the bands on tour but only available at Best Buy beginning June 17. I must admit my affinity for the Crue. It's nice to see all the boys back together, rockin' out. I'm dating myself, but it takes me right back to the school parking lot and my friend Amy loudly playing "Smokin' in the Boys Room." Sigh. Good times ... |
