can anyone give me any details about the song Bruce played in Houston 4/14/08 with the lyrics "brother, they broke the mold when they made you". He dedicated it to some friends of mine who recently lost their teenage son and I'd never heard it before. Thanks

Evan: It is called "Terry's Song" and here is a link to the lyrics and a bit of info about it:

You will find the song recorded at the end of the Magic CD, though it isn't listed on the jacket or notes.
The song honors Terry Magovern, Bruce's longtime assistant who died last July.

that song is called "terry's song" and it's on the new album "magic" as a hidden track. or it's the last song, anyway.

The song you are asking about is Terry's Song, written for Bruce's friend, Terry Magovern, who recently died. The lyrics are here:

and Bruce's thoughts on Terry are here:

One of the best parts of a Springsteen show is you never know who will show up. Would have loved to see him prefory with Joe Ely. In past concerts saw him bring up Jackson Browne, Don Henley and others.
If you have ever been to a concert, they never start on time and the Boss always starts 45 minutes after the posted show time. Drink a few beers, get loose and prepare for the best musical experience of your life.
