Country star Toby Keith sings "Never, Never Gonna Give You Up" on jazz bassist Wayman Tisdale's upcoming album, Rebound, which comes out June 3. Strange pairing, yes. But if you're from Oklahoma, you know that both of them love Oklahoma and are big University of Oklahoma fans (and you probably remember watching Mr. Tisdale play basketball there). Does their collaboration make for good music? I guess we'll find out. |

We love Oklahomans, don't we, Ann? ; ) I think that's a fabulous pairing simply because it's so random, regardless of the Oklahoma ties. Black guy, jazz musician, former athlete; white guy, country musician, former oil field worker. I love assumption-busting, unexpected collaborations like that. Can't wait.
