Billboard.com is reporting that LL Cool J is ready to release his new album, Exit 13, on July 18 "via Def Jam." According to James Todd Smith, a name I've always liked so much more than his rap moniker, it'll be his last release on the label. Who knew he didn't like the way label president Jay-Z, since gone, was handling things? Maybe it's because LL's last release on the label sold less than 400,000 copies...
