Anyone with even a passing interest in North Texas rock (and that'd probably mean you, if you're reading this in the first place) knows that Toadies are back together. You might even know that a new album, No Deliverance, is due out on Aug. 19 on Kirtland Records. And some of you may even be aware that the band is going to throw a 20th anniversary party a couple of weeks after the new album drops. The cool thing about that is where it's being held: Possum Kingdom Lake, the setting for the band's definitive 1994 hit, "Possum Kingdom." How apropo is that? Dia De Los Toadies (dang, that's catchy!) will be Aug. 31 at Possum Hollow Camp on the northwest shore. It'll wrap up a pre-release tour that starts June 20 in San Antonio -- a stop at the Ridglea Theater in Fort Worth is the following day -- that's already sold out the Ridglea and New York's Bowery Ballroom on June 26. Tickets for Dia De Los Toadies are $25 and are on sale here. Don't be afraid! |

This is GREAT news! I have been a Toadies fan since the first time I heard Todd on the radio screaming, "DO YOU WANNA DIE!" Their second album was - Hell Below/Stars Above - just as great as the first, and I can't wait to dig in to the new one when it drops in August.
