Four years after her run on American Idol and a year after her Oscar victory, singer-actress Jennifer Hudson will at last see her debut album released. The self-titled CD arrives in stores in September, reports billboard.com. The first single, "Spotlight," was written by Ne-Yo. The song goes for radio play June 9 and will be available as a digital download June 10. Hit-makers Timbaland, Robin Thicke, the Underdogs, Diane Warren and Christopher "Tricky" Stewart also contribute to the disc. Ms. Hudson won the best supporting actress Oscar in 2007 for her performance as Effie White in Dreamgirls. |
