Whenever I see talented entertainers collapse into self-absorption, greed and lawlessness, I think of that cryptic truism; "Money makes you the person that you really are." It seems to me that he ignored industry advice, common sense and even the rules of karma as his professional demise loomed on the horizon. Not to say that he cannot make a comeback, but it will take a lot of humbling and sobriety to get there....is he up to the task? He has such potential, and I'd hate to see it go completely to waste.
