September 14, 2008On Sunday evening, we'll have a story by Mario that talks about the new phenomenon of pre-teen music, from baby all the way up to age 12. The Kidz Bop Kids CD series, where kids sing current pop hits, now has 22 volumes and sells like crazy. Then there's the 20 volumes of the Rockabye Baby series, where songs by Pink Floyd, U2, Queens of the Stone Age and other rockers are turned into lullabies. The Hushabye Baby series offers country songs as lullabies, the Praise Baby Collection has religious-themed lullabies, and so on. Have you purchased any rock- or contemporary music-sounding CDs for your small kids? Why or why not? The entry "Rocked-out CDs for kids: Better than Barney?" is tagged: Hushabye Baby , Kidz Bop , Praise Baby Collection , Rockabye Baby |
