Eagles at the Bronco Bowl: 10/6/1972

Glenn Frey introduced "Take It Easy" Saturday at the American Airlines Center as a song the Eagles first played in Dallas at the Bronco Bowl. A quick trip to our archives shows the date was Oct. 6, 1972 - a few months after the band released its debut LP. The opening act? None other than Jackson Browne, who wrote "Take It Easy" and was on the radio at the time with "Rock Me On the Water." The Eagles came back to D-FW several more times in the '70s, including in 1975 opening for the Rolling Stones at the Cotton Bowl and shows at the Tarrant County Convention Center arena in 1976 and 1977.

I heard a rumor that The Eagles might come back sometime in November. This came from a worker at the AAC. We will have to wait and see. If they come, I am in!!!!!!
