Don Henley in Cass County benefit

For those who haven't been to Music City Texas Theater in Linden, you don't know what you're missing. And for those who would really dig hearing Don Henley in the intimate setting of a 420-seat venue, well, here's your chance: At 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 25, Mr. Henley will perform a benefit concert for the Cass County Courthouse Restoration Project in Linden. Tickets are $1,000 each, but a portion is tax-deductible. The ticket price also includes a private, after-concert reception, which organizers say will be "an opportunity to meet and speak with Mr. Henley." Proceeds from the show will help supply matching funds to supplement the $4.4 million grant the Texas Historical Commission recently awarded Cass County to restore its historic courthouse.
